Everyday she reassures me with glad tidings,

Through my introspections and questioning,
I do penance and wait for that day,

Siddharth, Incidentally, this is Vairamuthu's first song. Yes, many people mistakenly think 'Andhi Mazhai Pozhigirathu' is his first. 'Idhu Oru Ponmalai' is Vairamuthu's first, and I'm glad that his debut happened for a Barathiraja movie. To me, Vairamuthu is the greatest Tamil lyricist ever and I won't accept if someone tries to compare him with Kannadasan. Good translation
